When you are trying to decide what’s best when it comes to planning your child’s education, you have many questions.  Some of the most common questions are, “Is my child learning enough? and “Can my child do better?  It’s not easy and the truth is, we don’t know which direction is going to render the absolute best results.  As parents, we do our best!  The caliber of education should be the only factor to consider but we know that it is not.  You must take into consideration many factors like location, transportation, finances, work schedules, before and after school care, enrichments, etc.  I understand your pain and I hope to deliver the very best in-depth learning experiences to your child at an affordable cost to you.

In all of your planning for this 2012 Summer, here's a NEW Online Summer Course that respond to some of your concerns.

Introductory Reading/Writing Nook Boot Camp
(for 4th-5th Graders)

Intro Reading/Writing Nook Boot Camp is  1 Hour Classes / 12-sessions / 3 weeks / Mon-Thur
When registering, please note your applicable time zone

The goal of this Intro Course is to emerge our young scholars into the world of Active Reading, Fluent Reading, Reading with Expression and Sentence Deciphering all of which will increase their reading comprehension skills.

This Course is opening up  as Online Live Class Sessions - July 9-26, 2012.  Group size is limited to five (5) students per group.  Sessions are purposely kept small to ensure learning and provide individual attention.

What students can expect:  Session time is 1 Hour and your child will be expected to complete independent practice work that will add an additional 1-2 hours of study-time daily.  This re-enforces learning and builds good study habits.  Since sessions are live and interactive, students can use a PC microphone and webcam or they can use their telephone.  Audio is necessary because every student is expected to read aloud in each session.

What parents can expect:  This is focused coursework.  If your student participates and complete the practice work, you should expect to see a noticeable improvement in their verbal reading skills and reading comprehension.  You should also see improvement in their ability to decipher word usage in a sentence and basic sentence structure.  Their participation in this course will give them foundational skills to build upon when they return to their regular school.

Course materials:  Free practice sheets and handouts are easily downloadable and printed from Adobe PDF.  If you prefer that materials be sent to you via USPS, you will be billed separately.  Expected cost is between $20-$30.

Registration will officially open on May 1st and seats will fill up quickly.  You are invited to pre-register now at a discounted rate.  Participants also save again when they register for any of our 2012/13 courses.

Pre-Registration:  $175.00pp
Group Registration:  $150.00pp
Regular registration:  $225.00pp  / after May 1st

Since starting 4 (Y)Our Kids, our greatest success rates have been in the area of Reading and Writing.  These skillsets happen to reveal the biggest gap across the country in K12 learning.  With a 1 Hour commitment for 12 sessions, I believe we will see a change in the right direction with our Kids.  Join me in this endeavor and pre-register your child today.  I know the need is great but your commitment now will help determine how many sessions should be scheduled.

At the successfully completion of the course, your child will receive an official Certificate of Completion and a gift card to Toys ‘R Us that they can use to help celebrate their hard work and enjoy the rest of their Summer.
